White Christmas Sangria

White Christmas Sangria

A bright and fresh bubbly holiday sangria, with seasonal cranberries and pears.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 200g cranberries
  • 250ml apple juice
  • 90ml brandy
  • 1 bottle prosecco
  • 1/2 bottle dry white wine
  • 2 sliced pears
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • rosemary sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add sugar to pitcher, lightly muddle with half the cranberries and apple juice for just a few seconds or until sugar is dissolved. Use a muddler or wooden spoon.
  2. Add in the brandy and muddle again. Add in the pear, and the rest of the cranberries.
  3. Add in prosecco and white wine. Stir to combine. Stir and taste! Adjust to your liking.
  4. Garnish cups with pear slices, cranberries and rosemary.

Notes

This can be made in advance by combining everything except the prosecco and setting it in the fridge to chill and infuse. I usually do this the morning or a few hours before serving, but never more than a day in advance.

If you want to, you can cut pears out with a star cookie cutter like I did for added flair.
